Kids Corner..

Every month two of our youth members introduce themselves and share some interesting information. This month, 14-year-old Melissa Wheeless got to know 9-year old Madison Welch.

Melissa, or Lissa as she is fondly called, is in the eighth grade and attends Etiwanda Intermediate School. Her favorite subject in school is Science and she hopes to become a forensic scientist. A few of her favorite things are Rocky Road ice cream, Mexican Food and the color Green. She said the most exciting day she has had was the day she got her new horse, Dennis. Lissa had dreams of making it to the final round at Youth Nationals. Having already achieved that, now she has set her sights to the roses. So you might say her future goal is for her and Dennis to have a successful Youth Nationals in 2008.

Madison, or Maddie as we like to call her, is in the 4th grade and attends Valencia Elementary School in Upland. Her favorite subject in school is math. Maddie's favorite color is Orange. She also likes Hannah Montana, Love Potion 31 ice cream, and hanging out with her best friend, Sam. Maddie's future goal is to win a blue ribbon on her horse, Platinum Monarch, or Hotrod as he's called in the barn. What is Maddie's big wish? Well, it 's for her parents to buy Hotrod's only son WW Rockstar. Good luck on that one Maddie!

Next month, one of our long time members, Krista Williams will meet one of our newest members, Sarah Esqueda..

Sierra Empire's Horse Show is rapidly approaching, so don't forget to come help out and have fun! The youth group will be running their annual dollar drawing. We will also have an egg and spoon race and a three-legged boot race too. The Make-A-Wish Foundation will be selling necklaces and shirts to help raise money to grant a wish, so let's help them out too!
